The object is being held in glycerine and has a weighs 2011 Newtons in air. Its volume is 6.66 M3. How much does it weigh in the glycerine?

  1. Well, the Wikipedia article on Glycerol (glycerin)  says the density is: "1.261 g/cm³" or  1261kg/m³

    So your 6.66m³ object will displace (note you said "held in glycerin" not floating on it)  8400kg of glycerin, weighing about 82300N so it would seem that your object "weighs" about negative 80000N.

    Since that is sort of a strange result I suspect you made an error copying the question.

    You might double check your decimal points and units.
