so i have a charter DVR cable box. everything has been working until yesterday. I tried to view a show i had recorded, and the screen would change as if it were about to view it, but then the show doesnt play. i click fast forward, nothing. i click rewind, nothing. i click live, once again nothing. also when i am recording a show, i cant watch it while it is being recorded. it has been working so well for me until now. the cable box never acts up like this, and i am really confused. i have no idea what the problem could be.... please help me...

  1. You should call your cabal company. I have never tried to record anything in on to the cabal box before, but it is possible that the memory of your cable box is full that is why it is not working. Try deleting some old shows you don't watch any more.


  2. was it just this one show?  maybe it wasn't recorded properly?  IF it's the one acting up just give Charter a call and they can replace the box.  It won't be a first for them, my Father-I-L had a new one installed and it didn't work from the get-go.

  3. Try to reboot the box.

    Unplug - wait 30 sec - Plug back.
