  1. It depends on what the blood looked like. If it's red (like when you cut yourself) it's probaly a small anal tear that happened during a bowel movement. Hope you hear from the nurse soon.

  2. I know with newborns sometimes it's common for them to have it, but I don't know how long after birth it usually occurs.  I had the same thing with my daughter, although she was 9 months at the time and it ended up being an anal fissure.  They may have you bring your daughter in and check it out, usually they'll want you to bring in the diaper so they can test it to make sure it was blood.  They mean even have you do a few days worth of stool samples and bring them in for the lab, but it all depends.  Hope all is well, best of luck.

  3. You can spell out v****a, it's not a bad word, it won't be blocked.  If your infant is a newborn that is actually somewhat normal.

    "Normal bleeding during infancy

Within the few weeks immediately following birth, some newborn girls will experience a small amount of bleeding from the v****a. This is entirely normal and occurs as the level of the mother's hormones in the baby's system gradually decreases. The result basically is the equivalent of a tiny menstrual period.

This type of vaginal bleeding usually lasts less than a day and is not painful. No special evaluation or treatment is needed; and in fact, such bleeding during infancy can be somewhat reassuring, because when a baby girl's body responds in this way to the drop in hormone levels, it's a sign that her system is working properly.

The important thing to keep in mind is that neither the presence nor the absence of bleeding in these early weeks is anything to be greatly concerned about. Either situation can be considered normal."

  4. how old is she? if she is jsut born then it's normal and it's due to hormones- jsut wait for the call back

  5. if you are feeding your daughter formula it could be a milk allergy.  it could also be an anal fissure which is common in newborns and not serious.

  6. I was also told  by the Pedi that my daughter could have a small amount of blood.  I would definately check to make sure it's normal though.

  7. When I had my girls I was told not to worry if there seemed to be a "period" for the baby. They said its due to the hormones they still have from when you were pregnant. If it continues take her in to be checked better safe than sorry.

  8. hi there

this kind of thing is a real worry,it sounds normal but better to have her checked

    hope the nurse calls soon

  9. Well my daughter was born on the same day as yours only 11 years ago, but I had the problem with her when she was born but her's was white not bloody.  I don't think it's anything serious, but you should still check on it.

  10. wait for the nurse. don't take random advice from random strangers. it could be nothing then again it could be serious. go with your gut, insist the doctor do testing.

  11. If she is a newborn (first couple of days old) it is actually normal for them to get a bit of a period or have vaginal discharge.  It is from the hormones that pass from your body to hers during delivery.  Best to check with the nurse line though.

  12. take her to the er thats not good. please take her now
