Please help me i really dont get this!!?

I have a nintendo 64 and i wanted to play super mario64 but everytime i save my progress it works but then when i turn it off and on the saved progress isent there?? yes i have a memory card?? please help me i have no idea

  1. The game doesn't save to the memory card, so that isn't the issue.

    Cartridge games (NES, SNES, and N64) that have save files use an internal battery to store the memory when the console is turned off. If your cartridge isn't storing your save files, the battery is probably dead. I'm sure there's a way to replace it, but I've never tried it. You could also just look for another copy of the game.


  2. I think something might be wrong with the game, you might just want to get the DS version.
