  1. why the need to rise the temp.till 30degrees cool down it at 23-25degrees.use borewell water ,no need to add salt

  2. adding salt to the aquarium isn't as simple as it may sound. First of all, yopu need to check your types of fish can tolerate elevated salt levels, if the fish doesn't agree with the salt, your fish can become stressed, which will only spur the disease on. If your fish is compatible then it has to be aquarium salt only, or non-idonized... therefore ordinary table salt is unsuitable. Salt medications can be difficult to work out especially if you havent done it before in regard to how much, for how many litres, how many fish etc... Salt doesn't always kill parasites especially white spot when its living on the fish, and redoses will have to be carried out, and i'm not sure all fish will appreciate it over a long time

I would personally buy a medication especially designed to get rid of white spot, it's alot more trustworthy and less stressful on the fish, unless you know what you're doing. good luck x*x

  3. I'm not sure what 30C is off the top of my head (still using Fahrenheit over here), but as long as that's the high end of the Pictus's temp range, if you add 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt for every 5 gallons of water in the tank, that could do it. There are also commercial remedies that might help as well. It depends on how far along the disease is as well, as to what you should do. If the pictus is weak, the commercial treatments might do more harm than good.
