Please help me on my russian hammies!!!!!?

Question

well i just got my black russian hamster today and all i did was feed it parts of a slice of cucumber and she is slapping at it!??!?! idk why please help me answer this mystery? thanks

Haha, cute.  My chinchilla does sort of the same thing when I try to feed him anything wet.  He just refuses to eat any fresh fruits or veggies because they're wet and he likes dry things.  This could be the same reason your hammie is acting up.  Simply because he's not used to the new texture.

Make sure you're feeding him other things too.  While veggies are good as treats every couple of days, they should not take the place of a solid hamster diet.  Hamsters need more protein that the veggies have to offer and without the proper pellet diet, they'll practically starve to death until they die.  

Also, too many veggies may cause diarrhea.  Just a heads up.  Just stop feeding him veggies for a few days and it should clear up.  (:
