Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

My friend and I have decided that we would like to take a japanese language course in Japan for next summer. My dad found out and flipped out on me saying I was ungrateful because I am getting a new car. etc. I would be paying for this trip all by myself. He got so mad, yelling at me and my mom until my mom just said no to me in order to shut him up...I really want to go but I don't know what to do. My dad is moving out come this october or november...also I just asked my mom about it alone and she got mad at me and said no...I'm to young but by next summer all almost be 19. I need ways to persuade her into letting me go, bargaining or something...Need Ideas!!!!!!! Thank you ^_^

If you're 19 then your parents aren't entirely responsible for everything you do anymore. There shouldn't be much trouble trying to get an extra job working overtime to raise money for this trip. If it's something you're really interested in doing, then why miss the opportunity? I'm not sure I get why they don't want you to go - if it's just for a summer class and not a permanent move to Japan.

I guess now is the time to show your parents you're capable of being responsible for yourself and let them know that you aren't 10 years old anymore. Step up and take the chance - things in life can come and go but don't let them go just because "your parents won't let you" when you are 19 years old.

Id got my own house by time I was 16.

Maybe tell them your not 12 anymore?
