Question

I have travel plans, but I do not have a Canadian Passport can I travel with my citizenship card? Do I need to have a passport?

I'm planning to go to USA and I also have American visa

You must have a Passport when flying into USA.  There are no exceptions anymore.

Hi dear

I'm not expert in this matter, but as i know so far you MUST need a passport to fly to USA. It will be impossible to get into US territory without a passport. You know how strict laws became after the 9-11, especially to the city your planning going to. My best advice is to get your passport and you will feel more confident that you're gonna fly for sure! But if you dont have it, you're risking to pass an experience like before. ( you know what i'm talking about).

It's better to wait a couple days or weeks than get frustrated for being enable to go to US.

Gringos take advantage of whatever to tell you: NO..  When i lost my ID and try to come back to LA, i tried to show my Social Secure Card, credit cards almost everything but my ID, and they told to me....You cannot fly.

Carry at least two picture ID's and what the previous answer said above.  Do that as well!

if traveling by plane you MUST have a passport

if you drive across the border you need  proof of canadian residency and Photo ID like a drivers license

You need to prove that you are either a Canadian citizen or otherwise have the right to enter to Canada. If you don't have a passport, you need to get one, and if you are already in the USA, you may need to go to a Canadian embassy or consulate and get a travel document.

You need 2 pieces of ID to cross the border by car. You can bring a birth/citizenship certificate, and a drivers license?

depende de donde seas pero si vas ah ir en avion solo necesitas ir a la embajada canadiense y pedir un permiso, no es tan complicado pero te recomiendo que pidas informes
