Please help me save my cabbages!!!!!!!!!?

Im growing greyhound cabbages and am fed up with the continual murdering of caterpillars,eggs and even cabbage white butterflies Ive secured an old net curtain over them but they still get in,any advice,Id rather not use chemicals.

  1. you could try netting. It needs to be a net with holes less than one inch to stop the adult butterfly getting in to lay her eggs.


  2. I was just looking this up as they are eating my nasturtiums! One person reccomends picking them off and the spraying with the hose...then sprinkling flour liberally around and on the cabbages...it disables them and they cannot feed....another reccomends pouring sour milk into the middle of each cabbage head...or make up a spray of vegetable oil, cayyenne pepper, an onion and washing up detergent. Good luck!
