500.0 mL of 0.10 M hydrochloric acid and 0.10 M potassium hydroxide are mixed.

How many grams of water are produced? How many mL of water are produced?

i got the equation: HCl (l) + KOH (l) >> H2O (l) + KCL (s)

how do i solve it from there and are my phases of matter correct? Also, what kind of reaction is this....a double replacement?

  1. Let the HCl solution be called HS.

    Atomic weights: H=1  O=16  H2O=18

    500.0mLHS x 0.10molHCl/1000mLHS x 1molH2O/1molHCl x 18gH2O/1molH2O = 0.9h H2O = 0.9 mL H2O

The phases should be (aq) except H2O. This is a neutralization
