During World War 2, some crewmen survived falls from burning aircraft without parachutes. Assume that the crew member is moving at 117.6 km/hr prior to hitting a loose haystack, and that a person can survive accelerations up to 36.0 g. If the motion inside the haystack is constant acceleration, what is the minimum surviveable height of the haystack?

Can you us generic terms so that I could produce this using different numbers.

  1. V=117.6km/hr=32.66m/s,h=?,m=0.036kg,U=0m... since deels with gravity.

    V^2=U^2+2gh   32.66^2/2*10=h   h=1.63metres.
