  1. No solution?

    I got y=x+4 and y= x+3

    They dint equal each other.

    But I'm probably wrong

  2. substituting the y formula for the y in the first formula

    (x+3) - x = 4

    solving from there...

    eliminating the parentheses

    x + 3 - x = 4

    canceling the x's, you get

    3 = 4

    however this is incorrect, so I would put "no solution" as my answer

    of course my math might be wrong...

    it would help if you put what kind of equation you are trying to solve for.  what are the instructions on your homework?
