ok so here a quick run down...i do not speak to my mother cuz shes a blithering drunk and does tons of drugs. i dont want my kids around it and ive dealt with it for long enough. BUT i do keep in contact with my grandma who keeps me posted on the latest mother news LOL. well my mom went to the doc for tons of problems that has built up over 10 years of not seeing a doctor. she has really high blood pressure, a few different gyno problems (maybe starting menopause my grams said but idk for sure) and the blood work came back abnormal. doc said she needs to come in tomorrow morning and she has really high number of liver enzymes. im so sure something is wrong with her liver the way she drinks...but can anyone explain to me what this really means? or what could be wrong? i dont want anything to be wrong with her but then again it would be nice for her to get a wakeup call. me and my kids miss her but wont be around her like this. so i dont want to call her and see how shes doing ect. just any info would be great. im having a hard time understanding some of the sites ive looked at. thanks!

  1. This is all about the liver since the liver is very impotent for filtration in the body and a blood test she had done. This tells certain enzymes in the blood and body for every one alive.Under normal circumstances these enzymes reside with in the cells of the liver. But when damage is done to the liver these enzymes spill out or leak out  into the blood stream. A test is done called AST &ALT these tests are to determine  liver cell damage indicators. Other words they tell damage being done to a liver. This doesn't  tell how much damage or what the cause is just that  there is damage. There are several causes for this as well. your mom will need more test preformed to get to the reasons why she may have liver trouble.

  2. being a drug user it could be 2 things...hepatitis c or just heavy drug use.
