Please help me..what do I press for me to be able to print screen?

I have a Compaq Presario V3000 laptop, and I want to be able to print screen but the problem is, i don't know what keys to press, i could see the key with a box and in the box is the word "prt sc" i guess that means that it is the key to use to be able to print screen, but the problem is that, the box, is located below the "pause" (meaning they are on the same key) and i don't know what keys to press for the "prt sc" key to work....please help me....

Usually you have to push Control (Ctrl) + Print Screen.  Then open a blank document in Word, Paint, Photoshop, etc...  and push Control + V to paste.

Print Screen button does  not print the screen on the printer! it copies the screen bitmap on clipboard.

After hitting the button goto MS PAINT or any photoeditor and then there 'Paste' option will be available from the edit menu, click paste, whole picture of the screen (when you pressed the Print Scr button) will be put in the photo editor and from there you can print it on the paper if you like.

OK they didn't read the question properly - here goes:

You have to press and *hold* the key between CTRL and Windows (marked with a down arrow in a square) and then press the Pause-Prt sc key. then release both keys. (If you can't find these keys look at the bottom left of the keyboard)

This will have copied the screen image into the Windows 'clipboard', from here you can 'paste' it into another program (such as Word, Paint, another word processor or graphics program) and print it.

In the old days of DOS this key used to directly print the screen contents to a printer... those were the days!

Another hint - if you press Alt prt sc (in your case Alt+[v]+Prt Sc keys only the current window will be copied. try it and see the difference!

just press that button and then go into word or publisher or whatever and pres ctrl + v =]
