  5. write about clasic it is so easy to do tht

  6. Well, here are some listening suggestions:

Beethoven: 5th Symphony, 9th Symphony, 3rd Symphony, Sonata Op. 53, Sonata Op. 57 (Appassionata)

Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2, Piano Concerto No. 3, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Preludes (any, but do several of them if you pick these)

Chopin: Nocturnes (several), Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Scherzo (all 4), Preludes (all 24)

Schumann: Carnival, Fantasy (all 3 mvts.), Papillions, Scenes from Childhood, Piano Quintet

    Dvorak: Piano Quintet, Dumky Trio

Stravinsky: Rite of Spring (This is the COOLEST piece, but long).

Prokofiev: Romeo & Juliet, Concerto No. 3

Write about: What instruments are played?  How are they played?  Lyrical?  Fast and flashy?  Do you think it takes a lot of skill to do this?  What strikes you most about the performance?  What emotions does the music evoke?  What is the music about? (do some research).  When was it written?  What was the composer's life about?  Do you think this piece will appeal to the general public, or only to classical musicians?  Did you listen to several recordings by different performers?  If so, how did they differ?  Did their unique interpretations of the piece evoke a different emotional response?  What are they trying to communicate by performing this piece?  Is therre a story or other extra-musical element associated with this piece?
