Please help me with Microsoft Word document....its being stupid....:))?

Question

When i open up microsoft word 03 and i try to write... say i put my name on the first line then i want to press enter to go to the next line it goes all the way to the middle or end of the page insted of just to the nest line... the only way i can get to the next line is if i hold the space bar till it gets there but then when i try to press tab to center my title on the line every thing moves over... so i try to put the cursor in front of the first letter on the second line to hold the space bar to center it but nothing will move when i do that??? im so confused i looked on format and stuff but it dosnt show anything.. can any one help me?? thanks :))

In Word 2003, click on File | Page Setup | Layout tab | Vertical alignment: Top | Default | Yes | OK.

You have your line spacing set like, crazy high so every time you hit enter it goes like 20 lines or you tabs are messed up, anyway in Microsoft word click on help, then it will show how you can fix it.
