Hello i have asked many questions about iris damage caused by a thermal burn many times but i have not found the answer i have been looking for could some one please help. A year ago i burnt my face in a house fire the heat was extremely hot it singed my eye brows and lashes the heat also came in contact with my eyes because i had to keep them open. Over the next couple of days i noticed my eye colour was different there was no pain and my sight was fine but my eye colour seemed to have gone and turn a darker colour i also noticed when the sun shined in my eyes my eye colour would go a light green but now it looks very dark. Ever since this has happened i have been really depressed and unhappy all i what is an answer to why this has happened and is there any way of restoring my old eye colour. Has the heat damaged or effected the pigments in the iris causing my eye colour to fade could some one please give the answer to this question i would be really gratefully thank you.

  1. Obvious answer would be to see an eye specialist!

  2. Have you seen an Ophthalmologist?  The color of your eyes can change from many things - from prescription drugs to physical assaults.  I work for an eye doctor and to the best of my knowledge you can not change the color back.  I suggest you make an appointment with either an Optometrist or and Ophthalmologist to have a regular health check up.  It's a good idea after the kind of injury you suffered.

Sorry to hear the color change depressed you.  I think dark eyes are pretty.
