Please help me with information about getting a peircing?

so im 16 and im getting a belly peircing on thursday

i just want to kno

how many times a day do you have to clean it?

wen can you start wearing dangling belly rings?

do you always have to constanly clean it?

any info will help

i have mines pierced and it heald beautifuly.

Clean it 3 times a day with dial-anti bactiral soap and also do sea salt soaks. if you dont wanna do the sea salt soaks buy H2ocean at a tattoo shop or hot topic. Sea salt soaks are the best thing to clean piercings with.

what is a sea salt soak? :Get 1/4 tablespoon sea salt and one cup of water and heat it so its warm and soak the piercing for 10 minutes.

You will be able to change it to dangles from 4-6 months after getting it pierced. depending on how it looks.

Its better to wait 6 months though.

As long as you clean it with the right stuff it should be fully healed in 6 months.  and you will be able to change it in that time too.

I cleaned mine with bactine or h2ocean at least 3 times a day. I used antibacterial soap on it in the shower too. Make sure you clean it after excessive sweating/a lot of activity.

I was able to change it after 1 month exactly and put a cute dangly one it.

Now its been over a year and i just clean it in the shower. Keep up with the cleaning for 3-6 months so that it never gets infected though!

You'll want to clean it 2-3 times a day with a sea salt solution (1/4 tsp sea salt dissolved in 8 oz warm water) or an anti-bacterial soap (Satin or Provon are preferred, but Dial is also acceptable).

You can change from whatever you get pierced with to different jewelry once your piercing has healed.  It can take anywhere from 6 months to a year.  Some people change it as early as 3 months, but I'd try to wait until at least 6 months.  Changing it before it's healed can irritate it and cause an infection.

You don't always have to clean it 2-3 times a day once it's healed.  After the first year, then cleaning it when you shower should suffice.
