Please help me with my cousin

ok so well my 8 year old cousin came from flordia and well she is at my house. And well she keeps picking up my cat and taking outside. and she hates that. and so i finally said. stop. so she went in the other room and started to cry. and when her mom came home from playing tennis, she told her mom that i said she couldn't pick the cat up. and now i am really mad. how should i tell her to stop twisting my words? please help me!
