Please help me with my new macbook???

Question

first off, i was wondering how do i get to the isight camera part where i can make all of those sweet funny effects. i tried to click iphoto but a library thing comes up. second, what do i do if i need such programs as winrar on here? i downloaded them but the icons don't even appear like they do on XP. Also, Utorrent for movie sharing.

The iSight software you're looking for is called PhotoBooth and it's in your Apps folder

You can't just RUN windows programs on a Mac. You'd have to install windows and dual boot if that's really what you want.

For .par/.rar utilities I use UnRar X and MacPAR Deluxe. I don't know specifically what else you'd need, but versiontracker and macupdate are the best places to look.

My favorite torrent client is Azureus.

Photo Booth has all the cool effects, download that. iphoto is where your pictures are stored, like from your camera, if you take the cool effect ones they'll be saved on photo booth!

If you need a program like WinRAR, you can have your Macbook upgraded to Leopard and inside the new OS, they have an option where you can compress files.  And you can always search the Apple website for a software that can do that.  Try the link below for that.  There is an application Called PHOTOBOOTH on your mac that takes pictures with the effects, but if you have Tiger, you might not have that because they did not have Photobooth in all of the Tiger copies.  iPhoto holds all of your photos.

I only say the apple website because they filter all of their downloads so they are safe for your computer!
