Please help me with my room makeover???

Question

ok i needsome ideas about what color to do on the walls im thinking around the colors of dark purple?? so what would look good and what should i do to imporve it and make it fancy yet unique????:)

Ok, my advice is find an object, like a cushion, or maybe some wallpaper, that you really LOVE, and go for colours to match, it always works. As for dark purple, your room looks quite dark anyway, so I think if it was dark purple it'd be too dark. So find some bedding or cushions and go from there, it's so much easier than trying to pick a colour. If anything, go for darker accesories and lighter wall colours, it works much better. Good luck.

I like the wall colors as they are but i would change your curtains they do not match and maybe try to stick to one theme becasue right now you have a bunch of themes you have sports and abercrombie and plants

Ok, if ur thinking purple, then i would get two dark purple walls, and two brown walls. u can get cheap plastic (but look real) chandilers and can hang that over your bed. get some brown curtians, and dark purple bed spread with brown designs. you could also put desing things on your walls that are like stickers, but if you dont like it in one place in ur room, u can peel it off and move it. there called wall pops, and you can get them at Lowe's. there mostly just themes, like stripes but the theres plain colors. there pretty cheap to at my local lowe's. heres a link. the light purple would look so cute!!!

to give your room a fix up, i think it would look great if the walls were like a choclate brown to match the green curtains. get rid of the blinds, never put curtains over blinds.

maybe buy a desk off ebay or if you can afford one, a brand new one, it would look good in a choclate brown.

the light purple doesnt go, because it makes the room look smaller.

if you want to make it look bigger, probally choose creamy clolours.

Your room's pretty cute as it is! But here's my advice.

Take down some of the stuff on the walls, open the blinds, so it's lighter, I w ould go with a lighter shade, like pink, or light purple, maybe move your bed around, and get new bedding that matches your walls.

I suggest putting down some throw rugs, maybe adding a beanbag chair, or one of those cute cusion chairs.

To make it look more spacious, I would move clutter from desks, and tables, then move them around.

As for fancy how about getting a curtain cover, I have them over my windows, and their pink with flowers and zebra stripes.

Maybe paint your walls a few different colors, mine are going to be Lime green, and hot pink, I'm hoping on getting a green throw rug, then painting painting the doors differnet colors, and the ceiling pink.

What if you got a canopy for your bed?

If your into art, how about making an all white room, then throw paint at the walls?

I like the idea of furniature movingm consider having a garage sale, and selling everything you don't need!

Dark purple will make it look smaller. I suggest taupe walls with olive and plum accents. Very fancy and sophisticated. Or if you want it to be fun, do tan, purple, and teal. Check out HGTV.com rate my space.

Browse through magazines for a style that speaks to you. Do you want a classy look or a more grungy look. Do you want a calm place or a happy place? Once you got that done,  look at your room and think of what you need or dont need to help create that look. You could paint your wall dark purple and paint a cityscape over it. And get your bedding to match the theme. Dark colours however can make a room look even smaller so try to clash in bright colours if you decide on a dark paint. Most of all have fun. Experiment.
