  1. 1. The Christian Sunday and the Jewish Sabbath are in many ways the same. For a start, they are both days of rest. For Judaism, the Jewish Sabbath is a day of acknowledging the fruits of the earth as a gift from God. In main differences though, the Jewish Sabbath begins on Friday evening and ends on Saturday evening, whereas the Christian Sunday is only on Sunday, where Christians of all kinds attend Church.

    2. Criticism made about the market economy and capitalism is mainly that the strongest tend to survive, while the weakest in buisness to do not so well.

    3. The history behind 'scapegoat':

*The scapegoat was a goat that was driven off into the wilderness as part of the ceremonies of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, in Judaism during the times of the Temple in Jerusalem. The word is more widely used as a metaphor, referring to someone who is blamed for misfortunes, generally as a way of distracting attention from the real causes.

    4. The difference between 'power' and 'authority':

*authority is the right to determine, adjudicate, or otherwise settle issues or disputes. It is a person or body with such rights.

*power is the ability to do or act, the capability of doing or affecting something. In the case of your questions, it is the political ascendancy or control in the government of a country, etc.
