Yellowstone National Park is known worldwide for the number of geysers that are there. The reservoir that holds the water that feeds the geysers is 7 to 8 miles underground and under high pressure. This water has been measured to be 464 oF and it is not boiling. What is the pressure of this reservoir?

  1. Use a steam table to find the answer...

    Assume the conditions in the resevoir are water as a saturated liquid at 464 F. Using the steam table you will find the pressure that will give this condition.
