1. batteries inefficient and the lithium ion batteries are flammable. But one group of people have created a way so that if one battery catches on fire, the rest won't.

2.They should enforce a quicker change to cleaner fuels. And it would create more jobs. They should make the change a litter bit slower than what i said before because it takes a while to change entirely. Maybe at 2050.

3.They should be required to make at least one type of green vehicle. That would decrease the value of the cars, making them more affordable. Thus creating less CO2! And more green vehicles!!!!

1 all the 'good' battery designs are being hoarded by the oil companies, and cannot be developed until those patents expire. Also, the car companies have focused their attention on gasoline power. The tecnology is still relatively new.

2 Gov't has a bad habit of backing the wrong horse. If we trust them to pick the next electric motor technology, they WILL f*** it up.

3 No. We are NOT a socialist dictatorship. If the Big Three won't do the job, other companies like Tesla Motors and Phoenix Motorcars will.

2 Gov. are famous for engineering a mouse the size of an elephant.

3 The present  battery technology will give u a range of 200 miles ,and it will decrease as the batteries get older.

Fossil fuel is the only fuel that will give U descent range .

one issue about electric cars i have not seen addressed:

Electric cars are really nice - they run clean and quiet - tho limited to range before needing to recharge

and there is the rub- all this GREEN ENERGY SAVING by driving the electric car...........

SO WHERE DOES THE ELECTRICITY COME FROM!!!???!!

and why is no one doing anything about the Pollution THat causes!or dealing with the monopolies that produce it and charge an arm and a leg for it.

there's no such thing as a free lunch NOR free electricity UNLESS

you are making your own with with wind or solar!

Hmmmm.....

I'm not entirely sure, but here's something you may have not known.

Electric cars are supposed to be beneficial to our environment, right? Where does electricity come from? Burning fossil fuels. In fact, the amount of fossil fuels we use to make the electricity to power electric cars is MORE than a normal car!

Ironic, huh?
