1. What is the name for the type of organisms can use Aerobic Cellular respiration to break down glucose? what is a specific example

2. If oxygen is lacking, how might cells meet their energy needs through fermentation? Explain and give some cells that can do this..

3. Both photosynthesis and aerobic cellular respiration are examples of complex matabolic pathways, consisting of linked reactions. Explain the roles of the enzymes in catalyzing chemical reactions and in metabolic pathways.

  1. autotroph

    anerobic respiration...clostridium

the enzymes allow the sugars to be broken down chemically and used to produce energy in the form of ATP

  2. well :it is very simple of course& know about

Biology can answer Science & Mathematics yes so important

as studying with Sealife and their Natural Habbitat  are

Plants  and Animals have DNA Cells basicly oxygen comes

from Sun rays plus water keeps them healthy  but

food nurishes others so they must survive  too

  3. 1. Aerobs. Not a common term since almost ALL organisms are capable or Aerobic Respiration (the release of energy form simple organic compounds in the presence of oxygen). E.coil is an aerob,as is yeast (S. pombe), plants, and animals.

    2. In the absence of oxygen cells can perform anerobic respiration (without oxygen) or fermentation. Fermentation releases carbon dioxide, alcohol and ATP: C6H12O6 → 2 CH3CH2OH + 2 CO2 + 2 ATP. (see;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermentatio...

One organisim that performes fermentation is Saccharomyces cerevisiae a yeast (aka baker's yeast).

    3. Enzymes help to catalyze reactions by lowering the activation energy necessary for the reaction to take place. They are normally highly specific (i.e. only recognize certain substrates, and only modify them in a specific way). In a metabolic pathway you will have a series of enzymes that each recognize a specific substrate and perform a specific modification. A chemical entering the pathway can be modofied many times by different enzymes until the final product is produced. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metabolic_p...
