  1. divide the bottom number into the top  then put the remainder over the bottom number and reduce it. 15 is divided by 6=2  1/2

    13 divided by 3=4 1/3;15 divided by 2= 7 1/2; 7 divided by 3=2 1/2; 5 divided by 4=1 1/4; 19 divided by 5=3 4/5; 18 by 4= 4 1/2 ; you work out the rest.

  2. 1 5/6

    2 1/2

    2

    2 3/5

    1 5/7

    4 2/4

    3 4/5

    1 1/4

    2 1/3

    7 1/2

    4 1/3

    2 3/6

  3. 11/6 is the same as saying 5/6 + 6/6, which is like saying 1+(5/6), or, finally, 1 and 5/6. This is your answer for the first one. the trick is to look at the denominator (the bottom number of a fraction) and seperate the numerator (the top number) into a number equal to the denominator and whatever is left over. because any number, divided by itself, equals one, this helps to convert it.

a slightly harder one may be 19/5, because you will have to seperate the number in the denom three times in the numerator. however, instead of doing it like that, you can instead seperate it into any factor of the denom. eg. seperate this one into 15/5 and 4/5 (because 15 and 4 makes 19). and because 15/5 is 3, the answer is 3 and 4/5

try the rest yourself, but here are the answers for reference:

they are in the order in which you asked the question.

    1 and 5/6

    2 and 1/2

    2

    2 and 3/5

    1 and 5/7

    4 and 2/4, or 4 and 1/2

    3 and 4/5

    1 and 1/4

    2 and 1/3

    7 and 1/2

    4 and 1/3

    2 and 3/6, or 2 and 1/2

    good luck :)

  4. light up is right you need to know how not the answers.

  5. 1 5/6

    2 1/2

    2

    2 3/5

    1 5/7

    4 1/2

    3 4/5

    1 1/4

    2 1/3

    7 1/2

    4 1/3

    2 1/2

you see how many times the denominator can go into the numerator (top) and thats the whole number and put the remainder on top of the second fraction and denominator at the bottom.

  6. Basically put the smaller # into the larger one. How many times will it fit? That will give you your whole number. Then however many is left over will be the top # of the new fraction over the original small number. Reduce when necessary.

    1 5/6

    2 1/2

    2

    2 3/5

    1 5/7

    4 2/4 = 4 1/2

    3 4/5

    1 1/4

    2 1/3

    7 1/2

    4 1/3

    2 3/6 = 2 1/2

These are the answers. I remember fractions. Honestly I didn't understand these until WAY after I learned them.
