  1. They are extremely different!

I was completely addicted to the Sims 2 on pc, but the Sims 2 for the nintendo DS stinks.

You can't get married, get a job, have kids.. etc.

    It's dumb!

  2. nah much better for pc. simple as

  3. They dont know what  they are talking about.. i been playing sims 2 on ds for about a year and im still not tired of it... i have sims 2 for every console and the ds is the best one.

  4. When you buy the PC version, the graphics, game play, and expansions are really worth it. I bought The Sims2 Double Deluxe (which also comes with Nightlife and the Celebration Stuff Pack) for about 30 or 40 dollars I think at Target. You will want to make sure your computer handles the requirements though, you can find that on the official Sims 2 website I listed below. There's nothing worse than buying a Sims game and not being able to play it, believe me.

A PC is not touch sensitive like a DS, unless you have a touch sensitive screen, which I doubt.

In the PC game you can start families, with children that grow up and depending on the expansions that you have they can go off to college too. You can get jobs in various careers like law enforcement and Culinary arts. Your men can get abducted by aliens and become alien pregnant. That means they have a baby and it looks like an alien. Your Sims age in this game, there are several life stages:

    Infant

    Toddler

    Child

    Teen

Young Adult (only with University expansion pack)

    Adult

    Elder

If you don't want your Sims to die from old age there are simple cheats you can find online to turn aging off. A lot of players enjoy the Sims 2 because of the architectural features of the games. The architectural  aspects in this game are phenomenal! The different types of houses you can build are amazing, and if you're not into it you can import houses from the Sims exchange online or use the ones that come pre-made with the game.

One thing you need to understand about these games is that they are made to be expanded. I currently have The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, University, Pets, and Seasons. I'm happy with all of them and I enjoy the expansion packs. Would I be happy without them? Yes, for awhile. I do think the games get progressively better with the expansion packs but they are not essential to the game.

If your computer doesn't have the requirements needed, don't buy the PC version and stick with the DS version. You sound like you're new to the Sim Community (Welcome fellow Simmer!) so buying the DS game might be better for you than buying the computer game. My reccommendation to you is to go to Target and compare both products in the store and decide which is better for you in regards to price, system requirements, and experience needed to play. It's not that the sims 2 on PC is difficult to play, it's most certainly not, but new users can get easily overwhelmed and end up not liking the game. I think the DS version would be your best bet, but the PC game is far better and flexible in what you can do.

Personally I have Sims 2 Cast Aways on my DS and I like it, but I LOVE my Sims 2 and expanion packs on my PC. It's really up to you and how much money you're willing to spend (I bought a new computer I knew would be able to play the Sims 2 on it just so I could play the games!!).

    Happy Simming!

  5. Sims 2 for the DS is waaaaay different than the computer version, You can only play as one person and you have missions to do and you can't have children and stuff.

  6. The sims are the best game it the world!

The sims 2 are made for pc. not for ds!

You can make a family and make them any way you want. There are all different ages: toddler, child, teen, adult, and elder. When you have a baby, its a baby for several days and then it turnes into a toddler.

You have different careers and you can get promoted if you work hard and study for the things you need.

There's aspirations too. That's things the want to do and if you fullfil them, than the aspiration meter rises and you can get cool things.

(that less than half of the stuff, but I can't explain it all)

    I hope I helped you!!!!

  7. I don't think its best for the ds.

    Graphics are quite bad.

    I recomend it on pc.

On this platform you can do everything.

    Its worth the money.

  8. sims 2 computer you can make your sims fall in love get married have jobs have kids and you get get special editions so they can get pets, go to college, have holidays, vacations and alot more...i think they're pretty expensive its around $35...idk about the nintendo

  9. Wayyyy better on the PC. Man, do I HATE that game. It's way too addicting. I think it should be illegal or something, I'm always playing it. And it's really expensive because I bought, like, all the expansion packs lol. Well, hope I helped....Good Luck!!
