i am 20

recently married, but have been ttc for over a year now

i recently began taking opks

tested the first two days i got them (18th and 19th)

then didnt test again untill the 24th because of breast tenderness. it showed up positive again =/

and again the next day.

took another this morning, and again a positive??

i read where it could be that i have pcos.. i am not sure if i have it, i just learned about it.

which would also explain more why i have gained 60 pounds in a year! =[

anyways what are more reasons that my opks are showing positive ALL THE TIME??

and could clomid help me to concieve?

what are your experiences with it?

thanks so much! =)

oh and yes my opks are definatly positive. the test line is waayyy darker than the control line.

  1. I agree with Milkmakingmama the book ''Taking charge of your fertility'' is a good read for anyone TTC.  You can get false readings on OPK's if you have PCOS.  Taking your temperatures and charting will help you know what’s going on with your cycle especially if you take them to an OB/GYN, they'll usually want to see 3+ months of charts.  I know girls that have conceived with PCOS naturally, with Clomid and a mix of Clomid and Metformin.  Good luck and I hope you get some answers and your baby soon!

  2. Before you start taking drastic measures there is a book you REALLY NEED to read!  It is called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"  It will help you determine if you have pcos!!  And it will tell you when you are fertile!!  I tried for eight years before I had my little boy and because I read this book I figured out what I had been doing wrong all that time!!
