  1. do you have a wireless adapter for that PC you want to use wireless on? you cant connect to wireless unless you have the adapter..they have USB ones and PCI/PCI-Express ones unless you bought it with the wireless card built in.

if you already have one..you should go look up the model number of it on google and search that and then "driver" after it so "MODEL NUMBER driver" and download that..because that'll set up the whole wireless connection thing. make sure to read the directions of the wireless thing before installing the driver because for my adapter, you have to remove it from your pc, THEN install the driver, restart the PC, and THEN you can put the adapter back in

    but thats just mine

    hope i helped kind of!

  2. It sounds like the drivers for the wireless adapter in the 2nd computer either aren't installed or the wireless adapter is disabled in the Device Manager (as opposed to being disabled in the Network Connections manager). What brand/type wireless network adapter do you have installed in the 2nd computer? If you look at the Device Manager (Windows XP: Right-Click on My Computer, choose Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager button) under the Network adapters entry, do you see your wireless adapter listed? (Click on the + sign to expand it.)

  3. Has the computer ever used wireless before?  If so, what program did you use to connect, Windows or the computer manufacturers? Is there a little computer with 2 curved lines in the top right corner located in the bottom right corner of your screen?  First thing to try, unplug the power from the modem and the router.  wait one minute.  plug the power into the modem first and patiently wait until the lights come on and stay on.  Once the lights are on, plug the power into the router and patiently wait for the lights to come on.  Now try to log on to the internet.   there are many issues that may be the problem.  this is the usual fix for this type of problem.  If this doesn't fix it then consult Answers again or you can contact my computer services company at 239-728-2721.
