  1. You have to tailor your abilities to the job requirements.  You don't state exactly what the job involves, but if you're doing counter work for example, you want to come across a people friendly, that you're reliable,  & are a good team player.  When you talk to whomever is hiring, you want to appear friendly by smiling, show some enthusiasm, & at the end, state you really want the job, & when can I start?

At your age, they won't be expecting you to have years of experience, so don't let that bother you.

Good luck & keep smiling > you'll never look better when you do.

  2. Obviously your resume (CV) needs your basic information and contact details.

I used to train people in this kind of thing and always recommended that they NEVER write a CV more than 2 pages (one would be best).

SOme people insist on leaving out their age and s*x, because they feel an employer should NOT choose based on these factors. I don't know where you live, but under UK law you are not required to enter your ethnicity (again - due to discrimination in the workplace).

Layout-wise. Our company preferred everything LEFT justified - A simple, basic font using only bold on headers - like say, the date range of a position you held.

The fact that you're 15 1/2 means that any employer KNOWS your experience will be limited and they will take that into consideration.

By presenting them with a crisp, well presented CV, this will help to imply that you're equally crisp and clean.

The very best of luck :)
