I got suspended for 1 term, which it might take 5 years. I study so hard, but I get worst grades. I get older fast, but my education keep is very behind amd I am waisting huge money. . I know it is just a little things compare to people who lost their house by hurricane, people who lost their parts of body, diseased I am much luckier, but it is so painful, how can I be positive and happy? When I got more older, I dont want to think that I was very dipressed in 20s.Wast of time, life is so short.

  1. ok i know this sounds girly but their is a chemical in chocolate that makes you happy!and it makes you smarter!and dont listen to music that has people singing about their depression, it makes it worse...

  2. let people that are close to you help you. if you dont let them help you then you dont have much of a chance. try to think positive and be confident with who you are. get outside. go do things with your friends or family. u need to try and acsess happy thoughts. think about things you love to do and people that you love to see. try and enjoy the time you have and always tell yourslf to live life to the fullest becauselife is too short to be miserable.

    i hoe this helps. :)

    remember to smile.

  3. Don't wait any longer !  Don't wait!  Go to your counselor, or if it take going to several counselors, let them know you are having problems.  They can get people to help you.  Maybe you need some kind of testing to see what type of counseling you need.  It sounds like you are really trying your best -so keep up the good work.  There is all kind of help out there so go for it.

  4. I think you should concentrate more on what is that YOU want to do, rather then constantly comparing yourself to other people!

How old are you? When I was going to college, there was this one lady who was in her 70s who wanted to prove her grandkids that she can do it. Now that's great.

So what if it takes you twice longer to graduate it.... the important thing is that you are actually doing it. There are so many people out there who only talk about what they will do, but never actually do it.

I think you should relax and cut yourself some slack. Take a week off your pressures if possible and regroup. Concentrate on what's most important in your life. Maybe you need to set priorities and not overwhelm yourself with too much to do. Take it one step at-a- time.

  5. id be happy to help your depression

Watch some old Simpsons episodes. They always make me feel better.  Or listen to some positive music such as Nirvana

  6. I really think you should read what Eli said again because he is 100% right. I'm young like you, im 16 and i've had deppression for about 6 years and am on medication for it but it doesnt always help.

What you have to do is relax! That really helps me. And don't compare yourself to others like Eli said. I find myself doing this ALL THE TIME and it only makes it worse. You should also get out and keep yourself busy, because if your busy you dont have time to think about your depression. Its weird but it works.

And always remember that there are many people out there that love you and care for you.

  7. do something you love to do. when you do that your confidence will build. and talk to people alot. be around people as much as you can. pets help too. get a pet.

i hope it all works out for you. stay strong

  8. Whoa!  Stop being so hard on yourself.  At least you are GOING to school.  That in itself is wonderful.  Depression is terrible- I know and have suffered with it for years.  Finally saw a Dr. and am now on medicine-and I have been really good for almost a year.  It took time-and I was pissed that it took time-But once it kicked in, and I was at the right "level" I gotta say-  I love life again.  Everyone has bad days or weeks or even a month- but a constant feeling of worthlessness, depression, sadness, etc., is not good.  When you lose interest in things you used to love is also a bad sign.  I never opened my mail or paid a freaking bill for 4 months.  what an idiot.  I even had the money.Try talking to a counseler at school- maybe re-adjust your schedule or lighten the load a little- to take a little pressure off.  GO TO A DR.  There is nothing wrong with being depressed.  Ask any of the 30 million Americans. And for  God's sake-be proud that you are still doing something good for yourself-like school.  My best friend I call a professional student.  12 years.  And no, he is not going to be a Dr..  He has no idea what he wants to be when he "grows up" and he is 45.   Hang in there!!!!!!

  9. FIRSTLY

Stop comparing yourself to others, this is THE main problem you have.

    When you compare yourself to other people it's so easy to see what they have that you lack, but you have to think about it this way;

You are not other people. We are all unique. Everyone is (or at least should be) the centre of their own world.

Stop worrying about what other people think. Peoples opinions are cheap. People will tell you what they think about you whether you want to hear it or not. This makes the opinion of others a cheap easy commodity... It doesn't mean ANYTHING!

    SECONDLY

You already know that you DONT WANT TO BE DEPRESSED! SO STOP WORRYING ALL THE TIME. You probably don't get the grades you want BECAUSE you are stressed... Which in turn leads to worse grades!

You only live once, so make the most of it. I hope this resolves any issues you have. Just relax mate and it will all unfold nicely. I hope it all works out in the end (which I am sure it will)

  10. Here is a treatment plan from the book 'Nutrition and Mental illness' by Carl Pfeiffer PhD MD, for depression take:

    1. B6 and zinc, taken in the morning, as P-5-P Complex supplement

    2. zinc, 30mg, bedtime

    3. Deanol {DMAE}, 5 drops, each morning

    4. Vitamin C {1000mg - 2000mg, as Magnesium Ascorbate} and dolomite

For an entirely Herbal remedy, consider:

    1. 300mg St. John's Wort

    2. Kava Kava

    3. 60mg Ginkgo Biloba

    http://www.holisticonline.com/Remedies/D...

    4. Also consider supplementing 5-HTP, 30mg per day

    5. 400mg SAMe, this has been called the instant antidepressant

If your depression has lingered for a while:

    1. Check if you have candida overgrowth

    2. Get a blood test for histamine levels

    3. See a orthomolecular nutritionist/doctor, and/or a good naturopath

    Synchronising your Circadian Clock

Most depressives have distorted circadian clock, and abnormal sleep patterns, the following will re-sync your internal clock.

    1. 30mg Melatonin before bed time {the chemical hat make you feel sleepy: Melatonin}, or 5-HTP

    2. Hot Bath, Exercise {4-5hours before bedtime}, and s*x {releases chemicals that makes you feel sleepy}

    3. Well i have never had to try the 3rd option, but i suppose warm hot chocolate or listening to a relaxation CD, like Brain Sync.

    Lifestyle changes

    1. get 30minutes of exercise per day, e.g. swimming, yoga, or brisk walking. Proven to beat depression, faster than antidepressant medication, in one published scientific study. Exercise outdoors if you can, you will get the added benefit of fresh air, and Vitamin D production from sunlight.

    2. Drink/make Kefir, very healthy for the gut, and can cure depression. Source: 'Gut and Psychology Syndrome' book, by Dr. Natasha Campell MD

    3. Learn Emotional Freedom Technique, preferably with the aid of a EFT qualified teacher.

    4. Read the religious scriptures of the religion you follow. If you do not have any religious scriptures or do not follow any particular religion, consider reading the Holy Qur'an, this heals the soul.

    5. Get plenty of sleep, atleast 8-hours, go to bed at 10PM, as this has been shown to be the ideal time.

    6. Last but not least, consider juicing fresh organic fruit/vegetables, look into Gerson Therapy. Buy organic fruit/vegetables in bulk from local Farmer's Markets to get yourself a bargain.

Best of luck. May your depression be lifted.
