To go sounds more correct, going is not precise.

Hands down its 2.  Think about it. It sounds a lot more natural.  A lot of time in the English language the one that sounds more natural is the right one. We tend to over analyze and confuse ourselves. This is not the case for all words, but for most. Sometimes the most natural sounding one is not right, but in this case it is. Good luck. =)
