Please help!!! my fish got stuck in the filter???

ok so i woke up and the fish had it's head stuck in the filter. he is making this bridge. look at my other questions about this PLEASE. i can't stand explaining this again but he has this black thing i think stuck in his gill. i saw him upright for a second and i think his back is PERMANENTLY twisted, and that's really the only problem. what do i do so my fish can eat and survive??? he can't keep himself upright and when he tries and stretches himself as straight as possible his back is twisted, making him spiral and twist. i will NOT flush him. how do i take care of my fishy from now on??? once again, for additional details look at my other questions. his breathing has gotten better and he is trying really hard to swim but when he tries to move forward he spirals because of his back. i would like his back to go back to normal but if it never will what do i do so he can eat and such for the rest of his life??? will he ever be able to go into the pond i was planning to put him in?? also, i realize that the tank is dirty and small but ive been working on it....doing water changes. i know its way to small (1.5 gallons) but i was going to put him in the pond. my poor baby is trying real hard. i will NOT FLUSH HIM. its been a few hours now and he's doing prett good besides his back. i will treat him in his hospitalized condition if there is any way for him to eat. but of course, i have no clue what happened to his organs in there...

  1. I'm afraid your fish doesn't look to good. When you feed him maybe you could get some kind of pellets or put food in near his head. If you put aqua plus in or some kind of medicine it helps there wounds heal better maybe your black spot on your fish is infected in which case it would be better to put aqua plus in. Lets just hope for the best.

  2. Ok, I am so glad you are against flushing. Here's what to do.

If you haven't turn off the fliter. If you don't care about the cost of the filter, cut off a the area around him, but leave him with some filter. Okay, trust me,goldfishes backs wont PERMANENTLY twist, they heal in about a week. Feeding him will be hard, but algae pellets worked for mine. Once it is cut and off, see if he will come out (most likely won't) but DO NOT TUG HARD ATTT ALLL they are VERY feeble. If this doesn't work, take him to the vet ( I had to do that) and they told me to do this, it worked for one, but the other didn't so they did somehting weird to it, and it worked. His back will heal though no worries, if the vets can't do anything, somehow contact me.  I really hope he lives!!!! Best of luck.

  3. omg that poor fish :( .  If you want to see if he will survive I would treat him, but if he looks like he is suffering then I think that it would be best to kill him. (Not by flushing him alive!)

  4. i honestly would say that i did not read everything but i read some so if i were you id give him to a friend ,i will go to the doctor,or keep him the same way he is know hey you can also release it in the wild too

  5. pull him out...

  6. just keep cleaning the tank every week.keep feeding him.

  7. That looks painful.. Sorry.. I think you should just continue its regular schedule of feeding him and cleaning his tank and he will heal eventually..

  8. Fry him...he looks tasty.

  9. I don't believe in flushing live fish, but that poor thing must be suffering, find some other way to end his suffering.

    O

    W!!!

  11. Everyone's said what I'd suggest; just keep feeding him and see how he gets on.

Just to ask - why hasn't het got any gravel, plants, ornaments or anything? Fish need hiding places at the very least.

  12. Still feed him. Clean the water often. It will get better after a while.
