  1. You really need to go see your vet or ask him to make a house call he COULD be dieing but there are other possibilitys like he just might be getting crazy "like my ham lol" or he could be stresses try relaxing him today dont really bother him just put some treatsin his cage then leave him alone if tommorow hes still acting like this take him to the vet

  2. A change in personality is a sign that your hamster may be sick.  Take him to a vet, it could just be a cold, or it could be wet tail (VERY common among new hamsters, if treated fast enough, it can be cured, but if no action is taken soon enough, it could be fatal).  As for attacking the water bottle, I wouldn't worry too much about that.  My old hamster (died of a tumour) used to attack the water bottle, biting it, scratching it.  It's fairly common, he just wanted something to bite.  If you don't have a wood treat for your hammy to chew on, try buying him one.

    Best of luck!

  3. call a vet call the store you got it at.

  4. my hammie died two days ago and he would run around his wheel even more i found him yesterday  day on the bottom of him cage stiff adn cold and hard and wouldn't move when i tapped on his cagei think he had a little heart attack he was pretty old. I am sorry your hammie is going to die. My hammie was sick when we got him home he always bit me i used non smelling soap so he wouldn't think i was fruit and i never got to tame him. Sorry lady or girl say bye :(

  5. I think your hamster is getting irritated by his environment. This happens sometimes if he is placed in a noisy environment, the sudden noises or smells (if he is placed near the kitchen) might be causing him to wake up often, making him stressed out and bitey. Keep him in a warm, dim and peaceful atmosphere for the next one week and I think he should get settled in. In the meantime, hang around his cage and talk softly to him as well as feed him some treats so that he gains his health back as well as becomes peaceful in his surroundings.

As for attacking the water bottle, many hamsters do that when they are new to the cage. Once he settles down in the cage, he would stop doing that.

You can check the following signs to decide if he is sick or not -

    1. Is he eating alright?

    2. Is he drinking enough water?

    3. Is he peeing and pooping properly? p**p should be solid, if it is watery then he is sick.

    4. Is his fur healthy and shiny? Dull looking fur and bald spots on the fur are a sign of sickness.

    5. Is his eyes clear?

    6. Does he respond to scents and sounds?

If all the above vital signs are fine, then your hamster is not having any problems at all.

If you still feel that your hamster looks sick, you can take him to a vet for confirmation but I feel he is only getting used to his new environment and should be fine in the next one week.
