Please help my platy is dying!!!!!!?!?!??

i got a male platy and a female platy, the male followed the female, then one time i looked at the tank and she was stuck between the plant leaves!!i gently pulled the leaves apart and she swam away twitching!she kept on twitching and floating to the top of the water, wenever i get slose to the tank, she runs around. and now i have this decoration thats a frog holding and umbrella, and she stays inside the umbrella, is that normal!?!?

I have five platies in my tank.  The other day my platy needed to be medicated.  So I took her out and placed her in the medicine and when I put her back in the tank she acted really weird.  I watched her a couple of days and she started acting normal.  Your platy is probably hiding from the male.  I used to have males and I had a platy that kept staying at the bottom of the tank.  A couple of days I thought she was dead.  I do not know how but she made a full recovery.  Just keep an eye on her.   She needs more female friends to keep him busy.  If you notice that she has some fim damage that will not get better.  You can try melafix to help speed the recovery.

Its not you need to medicate that tank asap and buy more females the ratio should be 3 females to every male for harassment reasons

If your fish doesn't improve and stays hiding in the ornament then it will mostly die.  Of course if it free swims normally than it probably recovered from whatever injury it sustained.  I would monitor the fish for the next few days.

You should add more females so the male will not keep on harassing that lone female.  That males can harass a lone female to death adding more females will just spread it out to make it more manageable for them.
