Please help need Ideas?

I am filling out applications for scholarships and I need to write a personal 1 page essay about my self. Can anyone give me Ideas on what I should put in their besides name schools, and family?

Suppose you had a lot of money and you thought it was a good thing to get a college education. You decided to create a scholarship fund to help people go to college. Would you give the money to the first person who asked, or would you try to pick just a few students who gave you a great impression about their potential and determination to succeed?

What kind of questions would you ask them to help you figure out who those people were?

Think about that, and write an essay that you think would convince YOU to help that person pay for college.

What kind of things do you want to hear them say about their dedication and their past performance and their dreams for the future? Would you be impressed if someone told you about some obstacle that they overcame in their lives? Would it help you make up your mind if someone told you that they really needed the money because their dream school wasn't something that their parents were going to be able to afford?

Think about what would impress you (but keep it true!) and see if it doesn't impress the scholarship organization, too.

One more thing - if the scholarship organization is related to some particular field of endeavor - like for example, if the scholarship organization is the American Society of Bee Keepers - then they're probably looking to help educate the leading beekeepers of tomorrow. In that case, you would want to write an essay that focused on your beekeeping dreams, and how your greatest goal in life is to gain the knowledge that you will need to invent a new environmentally-safe solution to the blah-blah-blah disease problem that has decimated the beehives in your community.

Obviously, I'm using a silly example, but you can see how this would apply to any other organization.
