Please help...need help setting up my VCR to record a program?

I need to record a hockey game tonight on cable and I can only get my vcr to go up to channel 17 i need channel 29 how do i program it to go up to higher channels..i can record the channels i get now...HELP

  1. How old is your VCR? Is it from 1980 or before? If so, it may not know about channels higher than 17. Time to upgrade!
