  1. start doing more responsible chores without complaining as well as sister and brother if you wont pick up room you wont walk dog try a reward for grades aproachif I get a+b all month and turn in all h/w

willyou think about dog then in a week after you do your chores and h/w bring up how hard youare trying see if shelter has 1/2 yr dog that is house broken that might be a concearn tell mom idea about pretrained dog that needs home save up the adoption fee allowence yard work for neighbors ad other small$$$$ jobs may show rsponsability

  2. well in this case it really depends on the parents. here's what i suggest.... you should first arrange a small chart with the jobs that you and your siblings would do

    you- walk

    brother-feed in morning

    brother- brush hair

    you- feed at night

    etc etc etc

and after that and you have explained to your brothers what the chart is and how it works then go and calmly present your case to your parents and ask one or two times       then if that doesn't work .. (You only) ask your mom/dad why you cant have a dog and let them explain

try to be nice in the whole process

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  3. tell thm you would clean the p**p and pee and you would wash them. and gve thm baths.

sometimes parents say no bcause of other reasons. my bf's mom won't allow him snce he was a kid but he only found out now when hes 21 that her mom is scared of dogs.

you can trade dogs for high grades, for more chores.look for sumthng to bargain with.and let thm choose bwhat typ of dog.

  4. There is no such thing as dogs hating cats.I've seen loads of dogs and cats getting along well together.Try asking your parents why they don't want a dog, because you should not make decisions that your parents don't agree with, and like a previous answer said, this is exactly how many unlucky dogs end up in shelters. If it's something like your parents not liking dogs,I strongly recommend you not to get one.but if it's something to do with responsibility, try to reason with them.Best of luck!!!!

  5. I have three dogs you can have one of mine

  6. well, i dont think ur ,parents dont wanna dog coz dogs dont get along with cats. maybe the financial reason is not an issue also, but i think ur parents are not convinced, and not sure that u will take care of the dog. i went trough the same thing myself. and im 20 now, and i just now got my puppy, coz i knew that i gotta be responsible.you probably dont know how much the dog need attention, coz i didnt know at ur age also.its nice to see them  on internet, all that cute, and cudly, u think to urself, awww, look at him, but many people (many kids) are not aware of what kind of "sufering"! and efford those people gave up for that dog to be trained and that nice. ur dog will be calm for the firs 2-3- days, coz still confused, but when he starts to get crazy, and running, and pooping, and baking, and growling, and jumping, and breaking things...u need to think: are your school obligations  gonna put your dog alone, and sad, when u will not be able to be with hem coz studying? coz puppy need to have constant attention in the first month.

thin, and show your parents responsibility if u really wanna pup, coz i know how it hurts when u cant get one and u really want to

  7. No.

If your parents don't want a dog then you can't have a dog.

Your parents will be financially looking after the dog and if getting a puppy they are a huge responsibility and even I think it's hard work and I'm 18! If not all members of a household, especially the adults, do not want a dog then you can't have one, it's not fair on the dog and it's one of the reasons why dogs end up in shelters (because parents were persuaded and then find they can't cope).

  8. It is a huge responsibility and a huge cost, but the benefits are massive.

Do some research on the cost of the dog, food, insurance and other stuff. Then present that to you parents, it might be that they think a dog is too expensive. In which case you might be able to prove them wrong.

Have you asked why they don't want a dog?

  9. you should just go and buy one yourself and if its cute enough then im sure your parents will let u keep it!!! It worked for me....

  10. Your parents probably don't want a dog because they would be the ones taking care of it financially.  Do you really think you can pay for vet bills, high quality food, toys, etc, etc?  I doubt it, so it would fall on your parents.

Also, what's going to happen if you go to college in 3 years? (Although this is probably unlikely seeing how horrible your spelling and grammar are.)  You won't be able to take the dog with you.  Dogs can live 15+ years if properly cared for.  Your parents probably don't want to care for a pet after all the kids move out.

Accept your parents' answer and wait until you have your own place to get a dog.

  11. Sorry, I'm going to say your parent's house their rules.

  12. Lie. Lie through yout teeth. That's what I did! =D My small dog... He's not so small anymore. But my mom's attached! HA! I really suckered her into that one! Of course, when my dog started eating my jeans, mom refused to buy more... It was SO worth it! xD (I swore to her he'd stay little... He's a husky-GSD mix... NOT little!)

Lol; really though, you have to be ready. Dogs are NOTHING like cats. They're more expensive, much more energetic, and they do need lots of attention. You just have to remind yourself - for the hunderth time the dog peed on the carpet and your stuck scrubbing it up - that you love the little bugger and you BEGGED for him! :D

  13. She's probably had bad experiences with dogs and doesn't like them.  Do you have a friend who has a well behaved dog? Ask around, and ask that friend if you can bring the well behaved dog over to show your mom not all dogs are bad.  Good luck.
