  1. 3x^2+y=(2x-1)(2x-1)

    3x^2+y=4x^2-1

    y=x^2-1

    The standard form of quadratic function is:

    y=ax^2+bx+c, so, as your function is y=x^2-1 ==>

    a=1, b=0 and c=-1
