Please help on how to connect my sub to my amp?

hey i have a speaker city amp its 2 channel 1600 watts, i want to connect a 12inch 800 watt pioneer sub to the amp. please help me on how to do this. i onli want to run the sub from the amp and nuthing else, ive tried bridging it on the high input side wich looks like this [+][-][-][+] but nuthing happens, so i tried hooking it up to the side thats got speakers writtin above it and the sub just werks like a speaker even when i bridge that to. Neone have some ideas, cheerz hayden

  1. I would not bridge it, just run off one output on the amp, and as long as your amp is powering up and you rca wires are right, or convertor, then possibly a bad amp or bad speaker

  3. I would absolutely bridge the amp. Why would anyone run a single sub off 1 channel of the 2 channels of an amp? You should bridge the amp and adjust the gain levels accordingly. However, if you bridged the amp properly off the speaker outputs, and it doesn't work, you might want to check the speaker outputs with another speaker or sub to see if the amp is busted or the sub is blown. Also, check to make sure the RCA's have signal from the radio.
