It is for Intro to Agriculture:

1.What is a gavel?

2. What is a nomination?

3. What is a rip saw and a crosscut saw?

4. A udders count for the most when judging dairy cattle?

5. Sheep producers have a goal of 150% lamb crop?

Isn't it 120% lamb crop?

  1. 1. The gavel is the thins that looks like a wooden hammer.  A judge bangs it to get order in the courtroom.  An FFA president taps it to get the meeting started.

    2. nomination- when I decide I want to run for president of the FFA chapter, I have to get nominated, or get  my name in the pool of candidates.  

    3. A rip saw cuts the limbs, and a cross cut saw is used to cut a cross section of a tree. (so that you can see the rings)

    4. Yes. Udder counts 40% for a cow.  If you are talking about heifers (young cattle that have not had babies yet), Frame (their height) counts 40%.
