  1. I agree with Thor. Not putting down other forms of the art, but try Muy Thai. I practice Muy Thai in my MMA training. It may not be the most "stylish" or the most "fancy" form of martial arts, but it's practical, and a lot of fun.

  2. kyokushin karate

  3. kyokushin karate or goju ryu karate

  4. Well I'm a TKD student and I'll support that more but if your looking for all that go with shaolin. Its good stuff and very impressive. But high kicks, lots of competition, and good solid punches go with Tae Kwon Do.

  5. I had said this before in previous questions and I'll say it again. It all depends on how you train and the effort you will put in.

  6. All of those styles except tai chi (I don't know what qi gong is) should provide what you're looking for.  You could also consider Tae Kwon Do, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai, or many others.  The style difference become more apparent much further into training.  High kicks, hard punching, and lots of competition are very basic.

  7. You should do Muay Thai.  It is the most practical and most effecient.  You'll get competition anytime you spar, and you'll learn more practical and effecient striking than fancy or good looking striking.  Not putting down other martial arts, and if you choose one of the ones you list I'm sure you'll have fun.

  8. Goju Ryu Karate.

  9. Kyokushin Karate is more realistic for self defense and future mma practice. However Shotokan is more realistic for sport karate and things like that.

  10. Kyokushin. No low kicks and punches only to body, therefore if you want them, to do anything they must be very hard.
