Im stayin in Camp Du Pylone in France in a few weeks. I want to knoow what the following are like ...

1. French Pizza

2. French Beer

3. French Fries ?

Also for the French Chocolatee what is the best brand or name of the types of chocolates or whatever and what is your favourite type. Also what are the buiscuts and stuuf like .

The Marine Land what is it like ?

And Antibes Land ?

Each country tends to put its own stamp a food like pizza.  If you like the interpretation of that country - great.  If not - eat what you like.  I&#039;m used to US pizza so not even pizza from Italy is good enough for me!  I tend to think that French Pizza is too dry.  Anyway, I learned a long time ago that if you go to an area - you should eat what the area specializes in and not what it doesn&#039;t   IE if I go to an Irish restaurant I&#039;m going to get an Irish dish and expect a certain level if finesse; if I roll the dice and order a cajun dish from an Irish restaurant I am really taking a chance!

The beer is ok.  But since you are in the EU you will have many beers to choose from.  So I would try the belgian beer as suggested above along with German beer.  

The French fries are ok.

I think you would be better off trying French food.  No one in the world can make better french food than the french.

Bakery products are quite good in France.  Find out where the good boulangeries (bakeries) are.  The french don&#039;t have too many biscuits but they have all kinds of baked bread.  If you are staying at a hotel ask the front desk for a reccomendation or contact someone in the tourist industry.  Boulangeries are very common and you will probably end up seeing a lot of them while you are there.

Also find some patisseries (a specialty store that sells French desserts).  Again - they are very common.  Sometimes a boulangerie and patisserie are combined.  Anyway - if you are a chocolate fiend - be careful.  You could easily blow more of your budget than you might have planned at a good patisserie!

Try chocolates from Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.

French pizza is different from American pizza with a variety of toppings, you can get them for usually cheap at any pizzeria. If you miss american style pizza, pizza hut is usually widely available (at least in major cities). The Pizza Rabbit delivery chain has cream pizza which is good.

Frozen/Fresh pizzas are also widely sold in supermarkets and some of them are really good: look for the brand SODEBO (fresh ones) or BUITONI (frozen ones), with a wide variety of toppings like goat cheese.

French beer is pretty good (and cheap) but a wide variety of beers from around Europe is always available at stores anyways. Try:

Cheap : Kronenbourg (Taste is mehh~), 33&quot; (comes in really cheap packs of 8 small bottles)

Tasty: Pelforth (especially the dark one), 1664

Others: Ask for/Buy Panache, it&#039;s a mix of beer and limonade or syrup and usually pretty good

You can ask to have Pichon (orange flavored) added or peach syrup (un demi peche) in some bars.

As for French Fries, in my 20 and so years living there I have never heard of them being fried in Olive oil but that sounds pretty yummy hehe. I&#039;d say they&#039;re usually (at least the good homemade ones) bigger than the American ones. Maybe less salty. (And no we do not eat them with Ketchup and Mayonnaise)

1. French Pizza is like Italian pizza, which is not really like American Pizza...  You will have different combinations of toppings/cheeses, often including an egg (which you should try because it is good). You will have many options, including a typical &quot;Margarita Pizza&quot; which is just cheese, tomato and basil. Pizza in France generally rocks.

2. French Beer isn&#039;t bad. Certainly not the best in the world, but it isn&#039;t bad. If given a choice, however, I would choose a beer from belgium which is widely available as well.

3. French Fries are like they are in the US - but better. Many times they are fried in Olive Oil which gives them a better flavor.

French (and Swiss and Belgium) chocolate are awesome. Get some with Hazlenut - it is the best.

All of France is beautiful and different, so try to see as much as you can.

French Pizza  is very different here they add eggs or cream to there pizza  there toppings very  from  the usa or uk  be careful when you  buy pizza if you don&#039;t like fried eggs on your pizza hehe
