Please help?!!!!?

Question

Im throwing an event at church that will involve both teens and parents. Its a formal event where they have to dress up so that rules out alot of fun messy group games that they cant do. Please does anyone have idea.?!!! And it cant be board games or something like that. Like last time I kow they had groups at their table build with playdoh some kind of a crazy pawn and they all added it to a giant maze board game on the floor. So something with groups thats an icebreaker, clean, and fun. THANX!!!

Play a few rounds of something like Mad Gad, Scattagories, or that kind of game.  Each table can have a different game and they don't necessarily have to play to the set number of points that the game says.

Now i don't know if this would work because it is "formal" but for my church youth group we used to play this game called "Catacombs"...it was essentially hide and seek with a twist.  You had the Christians and you had the Romans.  The Christians had to find each other around the Church, get to a safe spot and recite the Lord's Prayer all together!  The roman's job was to find the Christians and tag them.  If a Christian got tagged by a roman, they got sent to this "jail" for about two minutes...then they got let go to try to hide and find each other again.

This might not help for this occassion, but maybe it would be a fun game for another youth group event!
