Please help question about red eye and contacts?

Hi i have a question. I have red eyes and i wear contacts. When i noticed that I had red eyes i removed the contacts and stopped wearing them for a day. My eyes were no longer red. But when i woke up this morning they were red. Right now it is no longer red. Could did be the contacts or could it be that i just moved into a dorm and it has something to do with the dorm?

well. it could be an allergic reaction.. dorm has carpets?... old dorms are breeding grounds for dust and other allergens. Now.. the contacts dry out your eyes which increase the reactions.. did you notice if you eyes felt worse or looked worse when you had contacts in than they did when you woke up and they were pink?.. i wouldnt say stop wearing contacts... but get visine for allergies (eye drops) and consider finding out if your allergic and getting allergy meds for it.. like zyrtec OTC, or chlortrimetron
