  1. find moles of (NH4)2CO3 using its molar mass:

    0.557 g @ 96.09 g/mol g/mol = 1.946e-4 moles (NH4)2CO3

1.946e-4 moles (NH4)2CO3 has twice as many moles of NH4+ ions

Your answer is: 3.89e-4 moles of NH4+ ions
