Please help! should i get a friend for my cockatiel

i have a male cockatiel and his friend who shared the same cage as him died yesterday he was a kakariki i had him 5 1/2 years and the cockatiel 2 years they wer inseperable. i was thinkin about getting him a cockatiel friend is this a good idea and wat s*x should i get! please help asap

make sure you get him a female friend, if not they will fight constantly.

If it is a male make sure to get him another male. If you got a female they would be loud and be nippy. Good luck!
