Please help!!!! sick guppies

please tell me what i have to do to save my guppies. every couple days i find there is a new dead fish in my tank and i do plenty of water changes. at first there was ich in the tank but i finishhed treating the ich about 2 days ago. one very special guppy to me has been really sick. i dont know what it is. i really wanna save him and he isnt eating and before he couldnt really swim and uncontrollably he would flip around and flip on his side and then he would try to get himself back to normal. he couldnt control his swimming. this was all today. i expected him to be dead later on in the day but his swimming got better and he doesnt really flip on his side anymore. what can i buy to save him?? what medicine?? please help me i really dont want him to die cause hes very special and my heart has been broken from all the dead fish lately. also today i found one of the first guppies that i got dead and he didint die of old age. he was fine yesterday and today he was dead. what is going on please help me and save my guppies please

  1. i think the first thing you have to do is test the water, check for ammonia and nitrite which can be deadly.stop feeding as this is not helping water conditions.do another partial water change but make sure the temp of the water to replace is the same as whats in the tank.don't and any more chemicals until you are sure whats the problem. as a last resort take the fish out of the tank and give the tank a good clean.


  2. ich is very difficult to totally get rid of, no matter what chemicals you use.

    some of your guppies might survive anyway.

    check the tank temperature and make sure it is not too hot or cold. guppies can stand a large range, but they thrive in water that is 75 to 80F.

    do not add any more fish to the tank until all deaths are over and your fish behave normally for at least a week.

    if all of them die, it is time to sterilize and start over. drain it. wash or get rid of the gravel and any filter elements.

    start over with feeder guppies cause they are cheap. if they thrive for about a month, you can start adding the fancier and more expensive fish.

  3. maby the waters ph level is too high or too low.
