Please help - trying to choose career!? Will choose best answer.?

I would really like to have an animal-related job, and I personally don't care about making much money but unfortunately it is a big factor in my career choice because I have horses, dogs, parrots, and cats to care for.

I would like to work at home (easier with all the animals) and own my own business (probably be the only employee, too, at least at first). Here are some things I am considering:

- Animal rescue/petting 'zoo' (would that make much money? I could probably get enough property to do this sort of thing, and I could have an educational side to it all, too)

- Vet tech (that's not working at home :( and I'm not great with math, plus isn't the average salary not quite 30k?)

- Doggie daycare (is this profitable? Anyone do it?)

- Horse and dog massage (that's not working at home either, so I'd prefer not to)

My strong areas are working with animals and art (especially writing), but I'm not sure I'd like to include that in my career.

Please, if you have any suggestions or questions do share. Also, I do not want to work with breeders/pet stores. Thanks a ton.

  1. It sounds like you have your hands full with the things - animals - you love, and you need something easy to go along with your lifestyle.  This may not be for you, but are you open to an mlm? I have one in mind (of a jillion) that actually pays! what a concept.  It's not animal related, but would keep you on-site.

  2. Own and operate a kennel, along with your day care.

Many people like to take holidays and need somewhere to put their animals while they are gone.

Do it well, and you will build a good business over the years.
