  1. 2 at the most can go with the betta in the 1 gallon tank. About 4-5 in with the betta 3 gallon tank. About 4 can go in with the 5 gallon female betta tank.

  2. 1.  One for the 1gal. -  due to the amount of debris the frog will create and the betta, it is best to not have one at all, but if you must ... One would be recommended.

    2.  One for the 3gal. - same as the first answer but having plants and a sponge filter this will cause a great deal of debris in the water since these frogs have a tendency to eat plants and disrupt the plant roots.

    3.  Two for the 5gal. - same as the second answer however, a filter is much better for the frogs and the mess they can stir up.And with the three fish this is taking oxygen out of the water for the other frogs or other fish you may want later.

Don't get me wrong I love dwarf frogs and I think they are great desk decorations or accents to a tank of any size but be careful not to set your self up for a hair pulling situation when you have a cloudy tank when it shouldn't be ... regardless  have fun...

Dwarf Frogs are stationary creatures and move very little during sun light and make sure the tank is sealed or covered at night because they can "slip" out of the tank and create their own demise. They eat fish flakes and the best thing is they eat very little. reproduction has occurred in Species tanks about 2.5 - 1 gallon. and my suggestion is to get a book.  You can looked up on-line but I would start the old fashion way and read about then first before getting one.

    Once again  have fun..

  3. ! african dwarf frog should have a gallon to himself. Bettas need at least 5 gallons to thrive instead of just survive. They need a minimum of 2 and a half gallons. In order to have a adf with betta you would need at least a 5 gallon tank. It just depends on the bettas personality some can be aggressive some are more passive. He could possibly hurt your frog, so i would have a back up plan if they do not get along. ADf are shy by themselves and do best with others of his kind. Provide several hiding spots for them. No bowl is big enough, i would just get a tank.
